With a pressure range to 25 cm H2O, Bi-Flex allows you to comfortably treat patients with severe OSA. For typical OSA patients using CPAP therapy, we offer our revolutionary C-Flex™ technology. C-Flex offers a more comfortable CPAP experience by talking the work out of exhalation. But Bi-Flex takes our “Flex” technology to new levels, offering the ultimate in therapy comfort, especially for hard-to-treat patients.
Bi-Flex “softens” the airflow in inhalation and exhalation, making breathing more natural – and unbelievably more comfortable – for the patient. In the Bi-Flex mode, the amount of pressure relief at the end of inhalation and at the beginning of exhalation is established. Patient-adjustable settings of “1”, “2” or “3” provide progressively increased pressure relief.
Digital Auto-Trak™ Sensitivity.
Digital Auto-Trak Sensitivity and Bi-Flex work together to deliver more natural – and unbelievably comfortable – therapy. Digital Auto-Trak Sensitivity triggers the BiPAP Pro 2 to cycle between inspiratory and expiratory pressure based on the patient’s breathing rhythm. It also automatically adjusts the variable trigger and cycle thresholds to maintain optimum performance in the presence of any leaks and ensures optimum system response with every breath.
Integrated humidification. Added treatment flexibility.
BiPAP Pro 2 uses the same integrated approach to heated humidification as Respironics’ proven REMstar® family of CPAPs. That makes it easy for you to stock and for patients to use. The lighted controls are part of the BiPAP Pro 2 unit, so they’re always easy to find. And since the heater platform plugs into the device, there’s only one plug to go into the wall.
Encore Pro Compatible. Enhanced recording capability.
The BiPAP Pro 2 with Bi-Flex comes complete with Respironics’ Encore Pro SmartCard technology. Now BiPAP Pro 2 and the SmartCard record events such as snores, apneas and hypopneas. That gives you even more insight into your patietns’ therapy – so you can make therapy better for patients and better for you.
The SmartCard also records the data, time, ramp usage and duration of each BiPAP Pro 2 use. When combined with the Encore Pro software, the usage data can be downloaded and viewed. The SmartCard can also transfer the prescribed pressure settings to the device.
The BiPAP Pro 2 with Bi-Flex also features the Functional Outcomes of Sleep Questionnaire (FOSQ). Patients can periodically complete the questionnaire and record quality-of-life data on the SmartCard. This data, along with Encore Pro’s enhanced reporting capabilities and longer-term monitoring of patients, can be used as part of an overall compliance assessment.
